THEY SAID IT.....
PARENT COMMENTS ON THEIR CHILDREN'S 2007 CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS YOUTH HOCKEY CAMP EXPERIENCE....
Hes really enjoying the camp. I've had a chance to hang around during the on-ice sessions. The instruction is top-notch. The coaches all seem to be very good with the kids. Overall, I think it has been a very positive experience for my son. Ron, parent of a Winnetka camper
He is having a great time. He says that it's fun and hard. He is always excited about going. Karen, parent of a Winnetka camper
He is having a blast and is coming home wiped out. (I love that). He has made comments that the goalie coach has helped him improve his game. That is what makes it a great camp. Luke, parent of a West Meadows camper
He loves it! He says it's a lot of work and that he's tired but in the same breath talks about how much fun it is! He wakes up every morning excited to get to camp and seems to be learning a lot. I'm sure we'll be back next year. Doug, parent of a Winnetka camper
Both my boys are having a great time in Blackhawk's camp. It has been a fun program. Joseph, parent of a Supreme Skills camper
Thanks for the email. He is enjoying your class this summer. He is definitely challenged! I think he thinks the class is fun but that you all mean business when on the ice! He loves hockey and likes the challenge. Martha, parent of a Supreme Skills camper
He is enjoying the camp and learning at the same time. And I really appreciate your class attendance flexibility, it makes my life easier. Glenn, parent of a Supreme Skills camper
Loving it! I think he ran out of ink with all the autographs he gave him. Bill, parent of a Winnetka camper
The coaches are very kind and helpful, and the girls at the front table are pleasant and accommodating every morning when we arrive. Thank you for this fun "Dream Camp." I remind him every morning when he doesn't want to wake up and put on his gear that there are many young kids out there who would do anything to have a chance to go to Blackhawks Hockey Camp, and he agrees. Colleen, parent of a Vernon Hills camper
He is loving the hockey camp. He just started skating 8 months ago - last November. He could barely stand up on skates. So, I was worried that this camp would be a little too much for him. But he is excited to go every day. Each evening he tells us about some new things he has learned. He also loved meeting Troy Murray. It's been a great experience. Sharon, parent of a West Meadows camper
He is having the best time. Not only does he say he is learning a great deal, but he has fun. His grandfather went to watch and said he was jealous. This was a great camp. He'll be back next year for sure. Jennifer, parent of a Vernon Hills camper
He is having a great time. He comes home absolutely exhausted, but is anxious to get back to the ice the next morning. He's having a great experience so far. Keep up the great work with the kids. And, thank you for giving my son such a wonderful, memorable experience. Chris, parent of a Vernon Hills camper
He is really enjoying his time at Glacier with the Hawks coaches. He is learning a lot and is having a good time. Joe, parent of a Vernon Hills camper
She is having a great time and is very tired every night! I think the exposure to extra conditioning has been terrific for her and hopefully will be something that she continues into the season. While she only learned to skate about 2 years ago and was on her first team as a peewee last season, she does have some concerns about being one of the weaker players. I believe this camp will give her additional confidence and my hope is that she gets a good coach this season who will help her to continue to improve her skills. Suzanne, parent of a Winnetka camper
She is having a great time. She is very excited about the "playoffs" and the "Stanley Cup". Liza, parent of a Winnetka camper
He loves the camp, loves being on the ice. The staff has been great and he has enjoyed meeting Steve Konroyd and Troy Murray. Marta, parent of a Vernon Hills camper
This is his second year at camp with you. It once agains is a very positive experience for him. Pam, parent of a West Meadows camper
He had a great experience at the camp. He was able to improve upon some skills and learn many new things. Melissa, parent of a West Meadows camper
He loved the Blackhawk camp. Thank you very much. Ann, parent of a West Meadows camper
He has loved the week. The group has done a great job with the kids. He wants to go back next year. Thank you very much. Tom, parent of a West Meadows camper
So far so good! He is really enjoying the camp and is picking up some great tips, and hopefully correcting some of the bad habits he has picked up over the years. I think this is a good age for this type of camp ý wish it was longer than just a week! Helen, parent of a West Meadows camper
He just came home from his second day at camp and he really loves it. He feels like the camp is improving on his skills and that he is really having fun. Debbie, parent of a West Meadows camper
He is really enjoying the camp! He has asked me to come and watch one day! His brother is a Bantam goalie and he would like to try his hand at goal-tending. Renee, parent of a Vernon Hills camper
He is having a great time. He is very new to ice hockey, he started skating in February. Before ice he was a roller-blader at the skate parks. He loves the ice and has worked hard to play Peewee this fall. The camp is really helping to excel his skills and confidence level. He is very shy and quiet, but he is starting to get to know the kids and coaches at camp slowly and he is getting more out of it everyday. He has never been to a sports camp and I believe this will be a positive experience that he will never forget. Kimberlee, parent of a Vernon Hills camper
I emailed my comments in a previous email, but wanted to mention how fantastic it was to have Will Fix on board to help all the kids in the locker room and on the ice. He has such a pleasant and approachable disposition on and off the ice, I know our son truly enjoyed seeing him every morning and spending the day with him as well. Will is a talented skater that's a fact, but he has a great personality and was so good to the boys I wanted to express that his presence at camp really impacted our son in a positive way. Will Fix is a great asset to your organization and we hope to see him next year at camp. Many thanks for a positive experience for our son. Hope to see you next year at Blackhawks Camp. Thank you to everyone for all their hard work. Mary Clare, parent of a Winnetka camper
He is having a great time. The camp seems very well run and fun. Lisa, parent of a Winnetka camper
He is having fun at camp. The coaches are doing a great job. Andrew, parent of a Bensenville camper
I have talked to my son the last two days that he came home form the camp. He said that he is learning new techniques to make him a better skater and player. So far, I'm very happy with his comments about the camp. I am also very happy that we sent him. Dan, parent of a Bensenville camper
He has enjoyed every one of the Supreme Skill classes at Wilmette this summer. Rafe and Mike have done a great job breaking the kids into groups, so that each child has a focused skill that they can learn and improve. He will definitely return next summer! Gretchen, parent of a Supreme Skills camper
This camp is great! The instructors are amazing! They are motivating and really care. I am very happy we signed him up. He is learning a lot! Sara, parent of a Supreme Skills camper
He is REALLY enjoying his skills classes. It takes place late in the day for him but with sailing and "just being a kid in the summer" it has worked out well. Debra, parent of a Supreme Skills camper
He seems to be enjoying the camp. I think the ice time for him is the perfect amount. I was concerned he would say it was too hard, but that is not the case. He really enjoyed skating with Steve Konroyd and Troy Murray. Steve, parent of a Bensenville camper
He is loving the camp. Honestly you work him so hard on and off the ice, I thought I'd hear some grumbling about that, but it has been just the opposite. He loves it. You are running a tight ship over there and it's working. Keep it up, Eli loves it. Thanks for checking in and have a great week. Mary, parent of a Winnetka camper
Great! It was a bit hot at the beginning of the week. A good prep for the upcoming season! Kirsten, parent of a Winnetka camper
He had a great week at the Blackhawk's camp. All the coaches were very professional and skilled. Amy, parent of a Vernon Hills camper
They seem to love it! The off ice training is more difficult for them but they need the cardio. They seem really tired which is nice for a change. Keep up the good work! Theresa, parent of a Winnetka camper
He's having a great week. I noticed that the format had changed, and that the physical exertion level is higher this year. He's learning that he really needs to be in great shape to be a great hockey player. All good. Kate, parent of a Winnetka camper
He is enjoying the classes and likes all the coaches. The coaches are great with the kids! I am glad to see that they make a child do something over if they are not doing it correctly. I think he is getting a lot out of the classes because he is learning the correct way to skate & shoot and he is getting explanation of why, which I think is important in understanding the game. It is going to be a tough try out this year for the travel team so hopefully what he learns will help him make the team. As long as he is still playing hockey next year he will be back next summer. Barbara, parent of a Supreme Skills camper
This is his third summer at the Blackhawk Youth Camp and he just loves it. John, parent of a Vernon Hills camper
He has been to this camp for many years and seems to be working much harder this year. He complains about how hard it is, but still gets up early every day to be at the camp on time. I think he realizes that at the 2nd year PeeWee level he needs to work harder to be competitive. Overall, he loves it. Lora, parent of a Winnetka camper
They both love it - nothing but great things to say. Especially meeting the ex-players. By the way, she met an ex-Senator (favorite team) and was in heaven. Cameron, parent of a Winnetka camper
He is loving every minute. As soon as I pick him up at the end of the day, he asks if he can do it again tomorrow--I don't know what I'm going to tell him on the last day. Coaches are also terrific, they really know how to work with kids. We definitely will be doing another camp. Jim, parent of a Vernon Hills camper
He loves being on the ice year round and he is getting some quality instruction from Murray Bannerman. This is his third year taking the class and it gives him a great workout. Karyn, parent of a Supreme Skills camper
They are having fun. Their hockey camp has been very positive so far. They both give me a run down of the day's events every evening. It sounds like they are busy! Jack has mentioned heýs learned three new key hockey skills. And they both have improved on putting on their equipment. Your staff is both professional and nice. We get there every day by 8:30 am and Molly is right there to check the boys in. Lynn and Marc, parents of Winnetka campers
She is really enjoying the camp. It is nice that there are such wonderful role models like Molly and Emily. Anna, parent of a West Meadows camper
He is really enjoying the Blackhawk Youth Camp so far in Winnetka this week. He particularly likes the camaraderie of a few fellow hockey team members and the familiarity of Mike Ruley and Coach Rafe being there! It's a good week to be on-ice and not outdoors too much due to the intense heat & humidity! Maggie, parent of a Winnetka camper
He is enjoying the Shoot to Score class. This is his second summer at Blackhawks program. He took the 2 clinics last summer. I think Rafe is an excellent coach and teacher and that our son is learning a great deal. My only regret is that I should of sign up for more classes! He could have really benefited from a stick handling clinic as well. Laurie, parent of a Supreme Skills camper
She loves it. She LOVES the camp, the outdoor exercises, the nutrition information, and having other female goalies as coaches is wonderful. She also loves her private locker room! She happily comes home "sore and tired, but energized. Roberta, parent of a Vernon Hills camper
He tells me that he is having a great deal of fun and has been learning new things. Andy, parent of a Winnetka camper
He is really enjoying his experience at the Blackhawks camp! I think Rafe and Mike are doing a great job teaching the different skills that I know our son will be able to apply to games. Gretchen, parent of a Winnetka camper
He had a great time at the Bensenville camp. I was lucky enough to be able to watch many of the on-ice sessions and, in my opinion, the experience was excellent. The coaches were firm, yet very caring. Clearly, the kids were having fun while they were learning! He left the camp with a better understanding of what it means to be an athlete. He has been playing hockey in Minnesota for 5 years, and this was the first time that so much emphasis was placed on form, and becoming the strongest skater that you can be - skills that he will certainly take with him as he continues in the sport. Amy, parent of a Bensenville camper
He is thoroughly enjoying himself at camp. He returns home each day tired, but excited about the day's activities and energized to start again the next day. The dry-land training sounds great and the on-ice drills sound challenging. The grouping of squirts, pee wees, and bantams in his camp give him the competitive confidence that I hope carries over to the travel tryouts next month. At the end of the day, we are getting our money's worth. Richard, parent of a Winnetka camper
She loves it!!! Mike & Rafe are great with the kids and make it a fun time while teaching the appropriate skills. My hat is off to them. Please pass it along that the staff is doing a great job. Henry, parent of a Supreme Skills camper
He enjoyed the camp very much. Good experience for going into a new season for him. The coaches were good with the kids and also patient. He really enjoyed meeting Troy Murray and Steve Konrod. He like the fact that they spent time with the kids on the ice and of course the autographs where awesome. I will recommend the camp to any of my friends in the future and I will enroll Sam in other camps as well. David, parent of a Bensenville camper
The boys love it! They are having fun and working hard at the same time. I am very impressed with the staff, they are all doing a great job with the kids both on and off the ice. They are a very nice group of young people who really seem to enjoy working with the kids. So all is great, thanks for making their hockey camp experience so enjoyable. Isabelle, parent of a Vernon Hills camper
Our son is loving it. He is getting all the instruction that we could possibly ask for. We are very pleased that we chose this camp. The other camps that we have put him in in the past have been good, but nothing like this. We rate it as excellent. Thank you. Chama, parent of a Bensenville camper
He has had a great time so far. At the end of his first day, the first thing he said was "I learned so much" which is just great to hear. Simon, parent of a Winnetka camper
He is having a great time at the goalie camp with Murray Bannerman. He also filled in as goalie at the Rolling Meadows camp for the week and he is having a lot of fun there also. Thanks so much for having him participate! All the coach's have been awesome. Thanks for putting on such a wonderful hockey camp for everyone. JT has loved going everyday! Michelle, parent of a Supreme Skills camper
The camp went great. My son had a wonderful time and benefited from the off and on ice sessions. Don, parent of a Vernon Hills camper
He is really enjoying the camp he says itýs hard but the coaches are great and they make it a lot of fun. He has also commented on how he was having a great time with the different activities. Lastly - have also heard it is well organized the overall experience has been extremely positive. Tim, parent of a Bensenville camper
Each night I've asked him how it's going and he said he is having a great time and likes the camp. He told me he is learning a lot and likes the ice time and instruction on the ice the best. The instructor to skater ratio is very good. He was pretty exicted last night as I guess one of the former Hawks players told him he was doing well at crossovers and c-cuts, whatever c-cuts are. He played a lot of defense last spring and I understand this player was defensemen so that gave him quite a bit of encouragement. Tim, parent of a Bensenville camper
They are really enjoying the Blackhawks camp. Our daughter really likes the all girls class and our son is really happy that he was able to win some preseason game tickets. Maggie, parent of a Supreme Skills camper
He is very happy with the camp. It's just great to be out on the ice for a bit this summer and he's enjoying the coaches. Alice, parent of a Vernon Hills camper
He is having a great time. He has really enjoyed this week of camp. Bob, parent of a Winnetka camper
He loves hockey camp. I think the coaches are great. He is actually getting instruction in skating. He has never really been taught how to skate. He was just put on a team and figured it out on his own. I would enroll him again. Jenni, parent of a Supreme Skills camper
He is really enjoying himself. It seems to be the right mix of work and fun for him. Phil, parent of a West Meadows camper
He is having a great time. He is a big Maple Leafs fan as we moved here from Toronto--slowly becoming a Hawks fan. You guys are doing a great job he says. Greg, parent of a West Meadows camper
He really enjoyed the camp. He was very excited and looked forward to going every day. Dan, parent of a Vernon Hills camper
The experience so far has been outstanding! With complete focus on proper skating and edge work - he finally gets it. I can't believe how much he's improved using his edges properly after only 4 classes. Most importantly he comments on how fun the classes have been. Having fun plus learning at the same time is a great equation for a 5 year old.Without a doubt we will continue with Blackhawks camps next year. Steve, parent of a Supreme Skills camper
PARENT COMMENTS ON THEIR CHILDREN'S 2006 CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS YOUTH HOCKEY CAMP EXPERIENCE....
Isabelle loves the camp. The coaches are superb with the kids, great motivators, always positive and upbeat. It's been an outstanding experience for her and a terrific skills and confidence booster. I took her to a couple of her classes and saw first hand why she learns and enjoys it so much.
Michael S.
Adam is enjoying the camp experience and seems to be gaining a lot of knowledge both on and off the ice. He says the coaching staff is "awesome". He is excited to be there and, as a family, we are glad we chose this camp!
Lori K.
It is going great. Jake is excited each day with something new he did or learned. He shares his day with us from dry land training (feeling the burn with the wall squats to running laps around the building) to watching the video of himself and hearing the area he needs to work on. Also, he found the McDonalds video interesting. He was excited to meet Steve from the Hawks and thrilled to see Coach Troy again this year. Jake truly enjoys his time in this camp. He has been to a few camps this summer and says the Hawks camp is his favorite and wants to go back again next year and it is only Wednesday.
Gina H.
Jack has really enjoyed the camp. He especially enjoyed the scrimmage time.
Stephanie H.
I just got word from my wife that he loves it. He scored two goals today and won the wall chair contest with 7 minutes and change.
Mike H.
I've been talking to my grandson on a daily basis and he is really enjoying himself. The instruction is going well and the critiques from the coaches are quite helpful. He has been telling me each day what you work on and I know he and I are both delighted.
Bob J.
Our experience thus far has been tremendous! Jonathan is enjoying the camp and getting a great work-out. I think the coaches all have very positive attitudes and show the boys a lot of respect. This will definitely be a repeat camp for next year!
Gail L.

Kyle is having a great time, but he is tired--I don't think he's ever worked this hard at anything.
Kathleen S.
Camp has been great! I've noticed that I am gradually becoming a better hockey player and learning a lot more about the game. I feel like I am becoming stronger and faster on my skates. I also enjoyed talking to Brian Noonan. The training is hard but I feel like I've gotten a better workout after a scrimmage. I will definitely come again.
Mike K.
Henry is really enjoying the camp. They are working him hard, and he is wiped out every night! He is actually really enjoying the talks on nutrition and keeping hydrated, etc. He's at the age where he can see and feel how this affects his body and performance. He likes his coaches, and he has enjoyed the real life hockey stories of the Blackhawk Heroes. Henry has done several other hockey camps over the years, and this one has ranked at the top of the list.
Michele J.
It's going great. I asked Ben if there was anything he particularly liked or disliked and he said he like everything except putting on his sweaty equipment for the 2nd ice session. So, it's been very positive.
Ken C.
Nic is having a lot of fun. He has made some new friends. He loves that he has a lot of ice time. We will definitely do this camp again.
Yolanda M.
This is Ryan's first year in the camp. He is just loving it! He's tired when he comes home but he's not complaining at all.
Betty W.
This is Dominic's second year with the Chicago Blackhawk Youth Hockey Camps. Dominic enjoyed it last summer and is enjoying the experience again this summer. You guys do a great job keeping it positive and fun. Keep up the great work.
Maria V.
Matthew is making new friends and enjoying the experience. Just today, Matt asked if it were possible to return next year.
Susan G.
Tommy is enjoying this program so much! He has learned so much in just a few weeks and says he wants to go to future camps of yours for goalies. We drive from Lake Bluff and look forward to our weekly meeting.
Susan H.
I am confident that with the skills he has and the training he is getting from your instructors, Devin will again be a leading offensive force on whatever team he plays for this fall.
Dan M.
Eric is really enjoying himself. He looks forward to Thursday evenings. He is also signed up for the Dream camp in late August!
Steve R.
Lee is really enjoying the goalie clinics and getting a lot out of the instruction!
Larry R.
Jake is really enjoying it! Coach Rafe is particularly helpful and good with the kids. Jake is excited about the chance to "win" pre-season Blackhawk tickets - great idea.
Heather M.
Mason is taking the Wednesday skating skills and the Thursday combo skills. I am very happy with the way the program is going and it looks like a very organized and well run camp. I think the coaches do a good job making the drills as fun as possible for the kids and are good about demonstrating what they are asking them to do.
Bill S.

Alex has really enjoyed his Monday evening sessions. He looks forward to those 2 hours and appears to be working hard.
Bruce A.
Noah loves camp and he's learning a lot. I think the instructors are very good and the drills have improved his skating and stick skills. He sleeps well on Thursday nights.
Patrick D.
Ben is really enjoying the skills classes. I have seen great improvement in his skating ability as well as his puck handling skills. It has been a great experience so far.
David S.
My son Galen is in the goalie skills class at Wilmette with Murray Bannerman. Murray gets four stars (or whatever the highest rating is). Galen is having a blast and learning a lot. Murray has a great manner with the kids, low key but he gets the kids undivided attention. He keeps them moving with a great mix of skating, positioning and shooting drills. It's also been fun that the kids can interact with Rafe Aybar's skills class for skaters at the other end of the ice. All in all a great experience.
Charles R.
Thanks for asking about Leonard's experience in goalie class. He is having a great time, and learning the fundamentals of the position from a great coach. We would highly recommend Blackhawks Youth Hockey to other families and will look forward to doing it again next year.
Howard W.
Taylor says she is having a great time, met some new friends, likes the small class size and learned some useful skills. She would definitely do another Blackhawk Camp.
Pat M.
Kevin is really enjoying it, the instruction is excellent. Kathy S.
Patrick and I are really pleased with the clinics on Monday night. He is getting more "real" instruction than he ever receives playing House League. And we really like being active in hockey during the summertime.
Kathy O.
Alex has just loved camp! He said he has learned a lot, exercised a lot and had a lot of fun.
Janet H.
Riley has really enjoyed this experience so far. I sat and watched one of the sessions the other day. I am no expert but I am a level 3 coach, and I thought the session run by Coach Aybar was excellent.
Bill M.
Michael loves it, and I think his skills are developing. The coaches are very nice and seem to take an interest in him and all the kids.
Ellen Y.
Hunter has enjoyed both classes (Fundamental Puck Skills and Skating). Anytime he can move around constantly, he's happy and he likes playing hockey. He particularly enjoys being on the big ice for one of his classes.
Deanne R.
Nikko is having a great time at the clinic. I think he has learned a lot from the coaches and he is having a great time. He will differently do the clinic again next year.
Michelle S.
Marius loves Blackhawk Youth Hockey. Coach Rafe is great with children, teaching hockey and respect, focusing and motivation.
Lori L.
He is loving hockey these days! He comes home exhausted which is a very tough thing to do. He is excited about the new skills he's learning. I am very pleased!
Kris W.
Matt is enjoying himself and finding the camp very challenging which has been very good for him.
Rich A.
Kyle is having a great time! Big Fun!
Bob F.
Thank you for a good camp program for us. My sons are enjoying this camp. On ice program is making their skill up. Off ice program is also good. They started to care and think of their food themselves!
Atsuko N.
Wow, it's refreshing to see an organization (especially a hockey organization) as organized and communicative as yours has been...thank you! Connor is having a GREAT time. He has indicated that the coaches are really great, and that the program is especially challenging (which both he AND I appreciate).
Karen N.

Chris is enjoying the camp very much. He has very little experience at forward as he has been a goalie for the last two years. He said that he is picking it up pretty quickly and enjoying the change very much.
Scott O.
After the first morning of being so nervous that he was sick to his stomach, it is going great! Zac is just loving the camp and the coaches! I know that he is getting a lot out of the drills and the the knowledge that is be shared. Not to mention the thrill of getting to meet the Hawk Heroes, Steve & Troy. That is such a great thing for them to be able to share their time with the kids. If you could pass along my thanks for making an 8 year old come home after camp with the biggest smile and tell his parents and his little brother about his experience.
Bob C.
It was good experience for Jason. We took the kids ice skating over the weekend and saw much improvement in his skating abilities. We will definitely be enrolling him in the Blackhawk Camp again next summer.
Pam G.
Thank you very much for the great camp! Robert enjoyed it and learned a lot, he especially needed to learn better skating and he did! He definitely developed his skills in the camp and we are looking forward to participate in the Blackhawk's Youth Hockey Camp next summer!
Kerija P.
Hannah is having a lot of fun, and learning a lot too. The Blackhawk hero yesterday
really impressed her because he spent time with her and showed her some skating techniques.
Jim K.
Camp is wonderful, Gregory is having a blast. We picked your camp mostly because of timing, as we kept Gregory in sailing school in WI all summer instead of pulling him. He did not have skating legs/feet coming in but he is not worried about that, although he has had to break in new skates. Gregory is already talking about eating healthy so thanks for having a great mix of topics, and he talks about the tricks he is being taught. Great camp. I have only heard great stuff about Blackhawk camps.
Dan W.
Marco has really enjoyed it. He is really looking forward to playing hockey again in the fall. He thought he was a little out of shape since he hasn't played in a little while (due to an injury) so has really felt the workout. He really loves to play. Thanks for everything.
Teresa R.
Everything is great! Jack has learned a lot and is having fun.
Heidi P.
Charlotte is having a great time. She is, however, complaining of very sore muscles! I don't think she's had a conditioning experience ever, so those newly identified muscle groups are screaming just a bit. She likes all the coaches, and thinks soccer with the gang is great.
Judy B.
Alex is having a great time and feels that his stick handling, in particular, has really improved! I think the camp has really been of great help to him.
Stacy M.
Nick had a great time. He learned a lot of new things like skating and shooting and he is coming back next year.
Rachel S.
My son said he had a really great time there he also said that the kids that were in his group were awesome. He told me it was really hard I think that's great. I will have him go again next year.
Joe M.
I am hearing nothing but good. He says the camp is awesome!
Michael Z.
Max is loving it. All the coaches all seem great!
Gina R.
Brendan is having a great time. He was very excited to play up today with the bantams. He loves the Blackhawk players coming, he thinks that is very cool!
Denise K.
Billy and Adam Chodos and Paul Dickinson are having a great time. They have enjoyed the drills. I think they enjoy the variety of activities too. We look forward to doing your camps again next year and will try to enroll some extra kids as well.
Teresa K.
Thank you for checking in. The experience has been awesome. Jack is having so much fun, working hard, and learning a lot. The camp is well run, organized, and very worthwhile.
Melisa P.
Brian is enjoying himself so far. The one on one drills in the corner were very good as well as hand ball drill.
Kerry B.
Drew has enjoyed the Winnetka camp, I especially appreciate that they now realize McDonalds is not so healthy! I like that they learn about nutrition as well as how to keep themselves fit and focused. I look forward to seeing Drew apply his new skills in skating and puck handling! I know that Drew looks forward to going every day, so that is a direct reflection of the positive environment you have established.
Gretchen B.
The experience appears to be very positive. He told me last night that he was learning a lot and was having a lot of fun. In addition, he enjoyed learning from your instructors.
William B.
Luke has been thrilled with camp - he's done house league in the past, so I think the skills training is really helpful for him, and something he has gotten pretty into. He's clearly having a lot of fun and quite happy.
Kelly F.
I think Nicholas is learning a LOT and having fun. Great camp!
Kipp L.
Mac does not say a ton but I know he really likes it because he is eager to get there each morning. I think he is so tired he can't speak when he comes home.
Ray C.
Charlie had a great week; lots of challenge when Mike Ruley moved him and several of the other travel players up with the peewees and bantams. He feels he really improved and learned some new skills and tricks. He was exhausted but loved it.
Healy R.
The boys (Alex Lopez, Michael Blacucci, Tom Sampey and Jimmy Panteleo) are all coming home excited about the camp. Thank you again for accommodating us with the bus. I think that next year we could probably line up 10 or more kids for pickup from the Nile/Park Ridge area to come to the camp. The love the camp and we look forward to it next year.
Otto L.
Michael seems to be enjoying himself and he tells me he is learning a lot about conditioning.
John B.
Everything is great, Michael is having a wonderful time. I must say the bus is an added bonus!
Lucia B.
Michael's having a great time. We appreciate the time ya'll are putting in. He loves hockey and I'm very happy with your contribution to his hockey career.
Jeff I.
My son and his group of friends love the camp. They say it is very hard but realize that it will make them better skaters. I only wish you offered another camp the 2nd week of August. It would be great conditioning to get Tommy ready for tryouts. Thanks for the time commitment and enthusiasm you all bring. Hope to see you next summer.
Patty L.
Jack was on the fence about whether or not to continue with hockey. Last season was not great for many reasons. This camp has completely turned things around for him. He is wiped out every day (and very smelly), but he is so pumped up when he gets in the car. He is having the best time. Please feel free to use us as a reference if anyone is looking for feedback. Today, Troy Murray signed one of his gloves. Jack is a huge Avs fan, so this really made his day.
Laura D.
EJ has been enjoying the camp a lot! He comes home tired and works hard all day. He is learning new things and is excited to return the next day. It has been a very good experience for him.

Mikey is having a great time at the Hockey camp at Vernon Hills. The coaches are great and really know their skating. I would definitely recommend this camp to anyone and will be signing him up next year when its time. It was very nice of you to touch base and find out how things are going. This kind of e-mail request goes beyond most camps and service in all businesses.

PARENT COMMENTS ON THEIR CHILDREN'S 2005 CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS YOUTH HOCKEY CAMP EXPERIENCE....
Our son had a wonderful time. The coaches were excellent and he really enjoyed the whole experience of getting to know kids from other areas. However, the most memorable thing was how GREAT all the coaches were to the kids. I felt like they really liked the kids and took the time to get to know them as a person and a skater. This was the most memorable thing for Jake. This is a great program, on and off the ice! Gerry Miller
To sum it up I can't stop telling friends/family it was worth every penny. My son is 7 and the personal attention with his skating and to him as a person has been incredible. I can not say enough things to express how please I am with Randy, Ned, Tony and Troy. They have all made Jake feel special and important. They have given him confidence as well as instruction. Jake is already asking to go again next summer. Thank you so much for providing the opportunity for my child. Gina Hamilton
Outstanding! Our daughter had a great time. They gave her a locker room for herself and made her feel as much in the group as anyone. They did a great job and I think she learned a lot. Mary G
Based on my son's comments, the camp was well organized, fun, and he learned a lot. I saw a significant improvement in his skating speed and precision at his first hockey practice post-camp. Alec had a great week at camp! Jane Blumenthal
Our son is Emerson Kovich and he is 9 years old. I don't think he'll ever forget this past week. We're thankful for both Glacier and the Blackhawks for providing this opportunity. Steve Kovich
He had a blast! It was absolutely a good camp! He improved his stick skills for sure. M. Hlinka
I was very impressed with the coaches. They were there for the kids. My son is very enthusiastic about it and looking forward to next year. The camp really helped Truman with his backward skating. Sharon Jackson

This was a very well-run camp. I was very impressed. Mrs. T. Doyle.
You and your staff helped Elliott, and the rest of the family, have a "forever memory." Hope to see you again, next summer. Walt Bogdan
All the coaches were great with the kids. Each one is to be commended. The camp schedule was well balanced and organized. He said that Darren Pang helped him with his stickhandling technique for goaltenders. He talked about it every day. He said he really liked all of the coaches, he said "they're great", especially the goaltending coach and Darren Pang.
This was Michael's 4th or 5th Blackhawk camp. I think he really liked this one the most because he talked a lot about the activities and said that it was a real workout but a lot of fun. He really enjoyed Darren Pang's help with his goaltending advice and techniques.
I witnessed a little of the camp myself and I was pleased with the class size and the coaches. They all seemed to really care that the kids were enjoying themselves while providing instruction and activities. I would like to pass along a "job well done" to all involved who made it happen. Thank you. Steve Drysch
My son loved the camp. He likes it better than football and he loves football. He will definitely go back. Stephanie Powell
My son Gary Barbera was six years old and this was his first camp experience. We were very impressed with the entire camp, the coaches were wonderful, the daily activities were great, my son learned a lot during the week and we will definitely sign on again. Thank you. Jodie Barbera
The coaches were all great, very helpful, very knowledgeable. Randy Jordan, you are great! It was very well organized and we are already planning for next year. She had a blast. Thanks. You all help keep her enthusiasm for the sport she loves. Sierra Gatis

Our son has had so much fun this past week at Glacier with the Blackhawk clinic. Monday he said "it was great!". Tuesday he said "it was awesome!" And Wednesday he said "I love it!.
My son learned many things like how to take a hit, shoot better, better stickhandling and how to play with the big kids. Most memorable were the people he met and the fun! The Quinn Family
Randy was excellent. He has a very good demeanor with kids and they respond well to him. My son's progress with basic skills and understanding was excellent. I thought that the video session were very helpful. Zach's most memorable event was the games. I thought the mixture of drills and fun were very good. Ken Winemaster
Hello - we just attended the Blackhawks Camp and I'd like to thank the instructors for running such a good camp. I am very thankful for their efforts and for making the camp so memorable to my son. A trio of boys made the trip and they had a great week.
Coach Pang and Coach Jordan made certain that the boys were well taken care of, and the other instructors, although I don't recall their names, were always so positive and helpful to our kids. My son has been to many camps, but really enjoyed this one and wants to go back again.
The coaches really praised our boys for their positive attitudes and desire to come "ready to play." I want them to know that that meant a lot to hear them say this. As a parent it's often difficult to teach kids the right values and work ethic, but I think our boys proved to us as parents that we've done something right. It's just nice to hear it from other people once in awhile! Thanks so much! Lisa Rink
Making progress and having fun are the most important things to deliver. Based on what my son reported I think these were provided. Jim Maurer

My son had a great time and met some of the boys he plays against during the regular season. This is his second year at this camp and will most likely be back again next year. Karyne Puccinelli
Fotis had a great time. He learned lot and had a lot of fun. He would like to do it again next year. Thanks for all the coaches efforts. Mary Vasiliadis
John had a great time & loved the camp. I felt he was well prepared for the upcoming hockey season by participating in this camp. He loved the competition, scrimmages, & games on the last day. Lisa Marsh

He had a great time and he sharpened his skills. What more can you ask for? Next summer we plan to send him to your camp. Thanks again for helping us out. We will also tell all his team mates of our great experience. Susan Gottlieb
Sam LOVED the camp. It was everything we expected. Will Hobert
Jonathan had a wonderful week. I thought your warm and welcoming personality was great. It was the right balance of technique with fun. Troy, as always, was great with the kids and really brings back the fun element back to hockey which, quite frankly, most coaches don't know how to do. I did enjoy all the coaches that you had during the week. We will be back. Dean Barsness
My son, Matt, had a very good experience. I'm grateful for the coaches hard work and their passion for working with the campers. Thanks again. Rick Furmanski
Tommy Cahill loved camp. Each morning he couldn't wait to go back. Thanks for a great experience. Count on us for next year! Jane Cahill
That program was truly fantastic. My son Ethan had the best time and cannot wait to do it again. Thank you for such a positive experience. We are looking forward to next time! Tracy and Ethan Cranley
On behalf of my goalie son, Charlie Gawne, a great big thank you. And thank you to everyone involved in the Blackhawk hockey camp, especially Murray Bannerman and all the people he had helping him. Jean DeFrancesco-Gawne
Rafe Aybar is one of the best out there. He not only puts them through their paces but he knows why they do what they do and explains it so the kids know too. Doug Brooks |
